The only fandoms I ever see these days are Sherlock, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and Supernatural. And the most annoying thing is, their posts seem to be about “OMG LOOK OUT HOW HE SMILED/BLINKED/BREATHED”
Seriously, get over yourselves. I’ve never seen any other fandom freak about so much because and actor was doing their job. For example, I saw a Sherlock post that said Sherlock was “so young, and scared, and look at how the gun is shaking! He isn’t prepared for this!” (if I could find the actual post, I would have used that).
Yes, the gun would be shaking because a) those things aren’t light, b) he was kind of running around a lot, and c) Benedict Cumberbatch is an actor- he is paid to do just that. ACT.
The only fandom that hasn’t done this so far as I’ve seen is the Star Wars fandom. Anytime I do see those tag-happy posts, it’s not focused on “Oh, Anakin was crying and shaking” or “Look at how in love they are!” and shiz. It’s more focused on whatever father/son/brotherly relationship was shared between all of the characters. It’s never about whatever slash pairing the fans made up because they can’t handle the real story (and Star Wars has some pretty messed up pairings, I know).
In my opinion, Star Wars seems like an underrated fandom. I don’t know if it’s just because nothing that popular has come out recently, or because this fandom doesn’t to focus on the pairings, because seriously, all of this Destiel is making me sick, and at first I really wanted to watch the show.
that’s probably cause the star wars fandom is 99% teenage boys with aspergers living in their moms house that’s why.
